About us
We are a privately owned centre based in Chartwell, Hamilton. We are small, homely centre with a tightknit community. We pride ourselves in our passion for quality care, child development, strong relationships and having fun. We allow children to play freely by providing learning experiences that are beneficial for each stage in their early education.

Kia ora e te whānau, I graduated with my Bachelor of Teaching (ECE) in 2014 and have been teaching in Hamilton since. I have 3 of my own tamariki and my youngest is with me at River Kids. I look forward to working with you as we support and guide your tamariki through their own learning journey here at River Kids.

Kia ora whānau, I have spent many years teaching across the various age groups in ECE, but I find my passion is with the Under 2's tamariki; getting to awhi them and their whānau as they negotiate the whole wide world. I appreciate the very special privilege we have as kaiako to share these special moments with your pepi. My whānau and I share our home with a menagerie of kararehe (animals) from cows to chickens, 5 cats, a blue tongued lizard named Axel and our fur baby Blue, our precious rescue dog.

Namaste. My name is Kavita. I am originally from Fiji, living here nearly 12 years. I have completed a Diploma in Early Childhood . I am married and have two beautiful children (5 year boy and 9 year girl). I have been working in the early childhood sector for last 6 years and that time, I have become extremely passionate about working with infants and toddlers age group. I feel so privileged to be able to be such a special part in each individual child's learning journey and I love watching as they grow and learn throughout their time here with us. In my spare time, I love to get outdoors and spend time with my family.

Kia ora, my name is Jordan and I am very excited to be teaching here at River Kids. I am almost entering my third and final year of study and am looking forward to completing my degree. I love to work with tamariki and enjoy seeing them have their "ah-hah" moments.

Kia ora, I am currently studying Early Childhood Education and care through The Open-Poly Technicn. I recently completed my diploma and am now gaining a Bachelor of Teaching.
I was born and raised in Hamilton and have worked for 3 years in ECE, mainly teaching Infants and Toddlers. As a teacher, I am passionate about warm and joyful care and education where tamariki are supported to nurture their confidence, creativity, social and emotional wellbeing.
